Welcome to the web site of Ridge Line Run, we are Darren and Samantha Walter, proud owners of the beautiful rottweilers you see on this site. We have been married for 12 years and have two children. Our family has a deep history of farming in this area, dating back to the late 1800’s. We have been involved with this unique breed for 11 years and have loved every minute of it. Breeding is not for everyone, that is for sure, nor should every dog be used for breeding. We live in the country and we farm corn, soybeans and raise beef cattle and superior sized rottweilers! Living on our farm, in this type of setting, allows our dogs to play in the woods and fallen leaves in the autumn, chase squirrels up trees and try to catch fish in the creek in the spring, romp in the snow banks in the winter, and lay under the shade tree and watch their puppies chase butterflies and bugs in the grass in the summer. Our rottweilers live a very peaceful and happy life here. They all spend time with us inside our house. (although we do have a beautiful kennel built just for them complete with heating and air conditioning, it does not get much use unless we have a litter of puppies, then we put all but the parents and puppies in the kennel to give mom and dad ”peace” and help keep the puppies safe.) All of our puppies are born inside in our home and held and cuddled every day by our family from birth until they go to their new home. When the weather permits, we do put them outside to romp and play and exert some of that “puppy energy”!
Our rottweilers are a very large part of our lives, and if you are interested in experiencing the joy of owning a rottweiler, educate yourself by checking out our “F.A.Q.'s and litters” pages for your future companion.
